Bookin' it For Books 5K Fundraiser, May 28, 2011

Thank you participants, volunteers and sponsors.What a fantastic fund raising day we had out in Greene County this past Saturday. Everyone had a great time running and raising money for Delia Ibarra School in the Galapagos Islands. This event put us a little closer to our goal of providing books and resources for the school to create a small library.

Past Fundraising Event:
Our first event is Booking it for Books 5K, a fundraising run on Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Dyke, Virginia. The event will be hosted by the "Girls Gotta Run Club" of William Monroe Middle School. This is going to be a great event! Come dressed as your favorite book character and take in the beautiful mountainous scenery of Greene County. This is a run you don’t want to miss! We'll start at Evergreen Church of the Brethren and wind our way through Greene County's beautiful countryside, through parts of Bacon Hollow, and back to Evergreen Church. Proceeds will go towards building a library for the schoolchildren of Delia Ibarra Elementary School. Let's come together and do this! Looking forward to a great race!
